Princess Costumes and Dress Up

Disney Princess Costumes are a favorite of little girls for Halloween and for playtime.  There are nine “official” Disney princesses and I think most of us who are parents of small girls can name them all by heart!

The original Princess was Snow White, whose movie came out all the way back in 1937.  She was later  joined by Cinderella (1950) and Aurora (1959) – best known as the Sleeping Beauty – and this three were the “Holy Trinity” of Disney Princesses for the next 20 years.

Of course, in 1989, Disney released “The Little Mermaid”, introducing the world to Ariel – over the last 20 years, there have been many more movies, bringing many more Disney princesses to our lives:
